TUMO Studios

Free craft-and-design education; jewelry atelier

TUMO Studios was founded in 2017 in a historic townhouse at Aram 44 in Yerevan, sponsored since inception by The John and Hasmik Mgrdichian Foundation — a free, nonprofit educational program for university-aged students and young professionals in craftsmanship and design.

Its ateliers include a jewelry workshop alongside ceramics, embroidery, printmaking, and wood and stone carving, pairing local students and craft professionals with visiting international designers.

By 2018 the program had brought over forty design professionals to Armenia, grounding contemporary design in Armenian artisanal heritage.

A registry entry of the jewelry.am makers directory, compiled from public, verifiable sources and re-checked before publication. It documents craft identity only — it is not an endorsement, a ranking, or purchase guidance.
