Armenian Jewellers Foundation (AJF)

Research and documentation of Armenian jewellery heritage

The Armenian Jewellers Foundation launched in Geneva on August 16, 2013, registered as a Swiss foundation under federal supervision, to research the history of the jewellery and gems trade and the Armenian contribution to it.

Its documentation work includes a Digital Library of Armenian jewellery-art history — carrying works such as Osep Tokat's Armenian Master Silversmiths — the Treasures of Western Armenia publication and exhibition project, and exhibitions beginning in St. Petersburg in 2015.

In 2014 it began a pilot scholarship program with the Armenian Gemological Laboratory and Academy to fund gemological training for young Armenian students; the foundation's own site documents activity through the late 2010s, and this entry carries that recency honestly.

A registry entry of the jewelry.am makers directory, compiled from public, verifiable sources and re-checked before publication. It documents craft identity only — it is not an endorsement, a ranking, or purchase guidance.
