Ara Vartanian
Stone-led design; inverted diamond settings
Ara Vartanian was born in Beirut in 1975 into a family of jewelers and raised in São Paulo; he left a trading career in 2000 to design jewelry in Brazil.
His documented signatures are the inverted diamond — set point-up — along with hook earrings and two- and three-finger rings, with the gemstone treated as the starting point of each design.
His first São Paulo showroom opened in 2005, followed by Rio de Janeiro and a Mayfair, London flagship in 2016.
