Estet was founded in Moscow in 1991 by Gagik Gevorkyan, growing out of a small family workshop, with Robert Melkumyan as artistic director; the Armenian Museum of Moscow lists it among jewelry enterprises founded by Armenians.
The house's first pieces were nickel silver and semi-precious stone work, moving to gold collections in 1994, diamond-set pieces by 2000, and silver lines in 2007.
Its Moscow facility documents a full-cycle technique range in gold and silver — chasing, granulation, engraving, oxidation and blackening, and hot and cold enamel.
